When society is mentioned and it refers to islam, its not always about fear and security.
I just plain would not deal with or talk to someone wearing a sack over their head. I need facial expression, eye movements, and other facial cues I have been using since shortly after birth.
We as humans, and in society use a lot more than speech to communicate, so loosing that huge amount of data makes people uncomfortable.
You are correct in a sense, but the issue most people see, is the veil as a tyrannical and medieval
implement used for nothing else but the purposeful subjugation of women. I cannot fathom anyone
wanting to cover themselves in such a dehumanizing manner.

The real upset with the stick figures is even moderate muslims seem peeved, not because of some blaspheming but because someone set out, on purpose to harmlessly yank their chain.
The only people who should be upset are kids, we have used their stickman for politics.
