    Default Qur'an, Bible What makes your Holy Book special?

    well, a lot of discussion on forums like this are becoming atheists and those who at accept one of the holy books such as the ones above as the definitive word from God are not binding on their life and activities. Now, things are quite a number of these holy books and each has a lot of supporters one has to assume the least some of them are not what their supporters believe and be -- for Muslims, for example, the Bible is obviously not God's last word to men. So, how do we decide which one is the right one?

    Obviously, all the books claim they are the definitive word of God that we can see that since the claim is made a number of books and they were all different that this claim it cannot really be valid in the least some of them. So, theists, how do you decide that your holy book is the right one and the other is, by definition, are the wrong ones?

    Quran and Bible only teach humankind good lessons. They dont preach violence or but hatred but only love and peace for humanity. I think the both books are god's word.

    I'm confused - are you talking about the Christian Bible? Have you actually read it?

    Well, you certainly can't argue with that. I mean, when I want to be all peaceful and relaxed, I just go kill some witches, like the Bible says. Since they're only witches and not good Christian folk it doesn't count as violence. Oh, hey, I think I'll go cut the ends of little babies dicks off after work. I bet that will give them great peace. And my 13 year old is getting quite sassy. I think I'll gather the town together, tie him up and throw rocks at him as hard as we can for as long as it takes to make sure he's dead. Now that sounds like a peaceful night. And it's not like half the Quran is about war and what horrible things you should do to infidels or anything, right?
