What do you all think of her?
This is a discussion on Lady Gaga within the Media and Entertainment forums, part of the General category; What do you all think of her?...

What do you all think of her?
She's... crazy, although when she was younger she used to be pretty cute, she appeared in one episode of MTV's Boiling Points when she was like 17.

I don't think I could care less about her. I don't find her music entertaining (but that said, to each their own) however I find it funny how she has duped so many people into thinking that she's somehow different from everything else in pop music. She had one generic hit that sounded like everything else (Just Dance) and rather than be content with a one hit wonder she did something rather smart and became a shock value celebrity by dressing in odd ways and amassing an army of fans ready, at any moment, to scream "you just don't understand her style!"
Faith, n. Belief without evidence in what is told by one who speaks without knowledge, of things without parallel.
Religion, n. A daughter of hope and fear, explaining to ignorance the nature of the unknowable.
Philosophy, n. A route of many roads leading from nowhere to nothing.

Geezus H. Christ, this video has had 175 million views on YouTube.
I think she's alright but nothing ground breaking. Bad Romance was a little bit catchy but hardly anything special. I agree with Kiefer, I think her success can be attributed to a mix of skin tight clothing with lots of skin showing, sexual lyrics, and seeing how odd each music video can be.

Personally i think she rocks. I was a roadie on her tour when it came through our town. Not a single artist except Lady Gaga, helped with the load out. She changed and then came backstage and helped pack up a few items and said thanks to all and lefted. very soft spoken and very helpful.
musically ok and frankly with the BS that is on the charts these days....she is a breath of fresh air. No nothing really "gee let me buy that", but more like "watch out, things are about to change"

Lady gaga is a mentally disturbed, disgusting, revolting freak of nature and a rip off, unoriginal artist

When the late great Stevie Ray Vaughn appeared on the Arsenio Hall show Arsenio asked him what he thought of all of the phony bubblegum music out there and Stevie Replied "There's room for everything." Diehard music fans tend to dismiss pretty people making popular music, but there is an audience for it and it is every bit as valid as any other form of entertainment on the market.
I like Lady Gaga because she isn't just a talking head, she is a capable musician and songwriter. I also like her sense of artistic expression, much like Marilyn Manson. Though her music is not my personal choice I respect what she is doing and the way she does it. She has a voice in terms of being outspoken for causes she believes in, has an excellent sense of showmanship, and can play music and write songs.
