Yes Happy December and Happy Holidays.

I for one enjoy Christmas and all of its artwork, caroling, christmas decorations, etc. Some atheists seem to make a big deal out of it, "ooh noo can't support that, it's 'Christian' or 'too religious'". To me it is no different than appreciating a painting in an art gallery that may have been dedicated to 'God' by the artist. I may still appreciate the beauty of it for my own reasons.

I also like Christmas a lot, I just try to forget all religious aspects of it and think of it as a nice time to be with friends and family.

I've never had a problem with calling it Christmas. Halloween's name doesn't change because I don't believe in witches. I don't see why Christmas has to.

Nor do I dislike it's meaning and ideology of peace on earth and goodwill towards men. And actually, I think that the whole buy buy buy crap is degrading and cheapens what Christmas is all about. Many Christians feel the same.

I can remember christian propaganda saying that "they're" trying to take god out of Christmas by naming it Xmas and that unbelievers all want to destroy the Christmas holiday because the devil makes them hate it. It's so funny when I think of the things they used to say. They made so many straw-man claims without ever seeing if their prejudices were true.

I don't care for Christmas. Not from an anti-religious perspective, I just find it to be an overly corporatised holiday (but aren't they all?) and I don't really care for carols, nothing but Rudolph and Frosty on TV, or the annoying lights everyone strings up on their houses.
Faith, n. Belief without evidence in what is told by one who speaks without knowledge, of things without parallel.
Religion, n. A daughter of hope and fear, explaining to ignorance the nature of the unknowable.
Philosophy, n. A route of many roads leading from nowhere to nothing.

I like all holidays. I'll celebrate anything as long as there is food and gifts involved.

And a "Bah! Humbug." to you, too.

I always look forward to Christmas like a little kid. I guess I'm just a big kid at heart. I think the anticipation and preparation is well worth it even though it seems to be over so quickly.
