  1. Journey to Atheism

    by , 03-05-2012 at 10:42 AM
I must admit when posting this thread that I am not, myself, an atheist. I am interested, however, in the process that led people to atheism or even if people were just raised without any type of religious upbringing. If anyone would be willing to share their story, I'd be interested to read it.

[1] The Hebrew verb consists of two different states. The perfect state indicates an action which is complete, whereas the imperfect state indicates a continuous or incomplete action.

At Genesis 1:1 the word bara, translated as created, is in the perfect state, which means that at this point the creation of the heavens and the Earth were ...

    by , 04-29-2011 at 05:03 PM
With a Canadian federal election just a few days away, I thought I would do a blog post about the role religion has played in the platforms of the parties and the campaigns so far. However, when I went looking for the religion on the campaign trail, I discovered that it was barely to be found.

All the party leaders have had the obligatory photo-ops at various religious events, but these - such as Ignatieff and Layton's appearances at the Sikh Khalsa Day parade in Toronto - seemed to ...
