But no one is discussing about ethnic groups or anything like that, we're just discussing about people's intelligence and how it is completely understandable how some atheists feel smarter than people who believe in the talking snake (as Bill Maher would say).

Er ok so prejudice only applies to ethnic groups? A negative implication about someone's intelligence based solely on their personal convictions is bigotry. Completely understandable.

A reporter is interviewing people on the street and approaches a man,
"Which issue do you feel is more important today, Ignorance or Apathy?"
The man paused for a moment and replied...

Prejudice can apply to anything, but there are certain things that someone brings on them self and which actually do cause harm. Even if, say, someone thought being black was a bad thing it doesn't hurt anybody and it's not something that can be changed. Religion on the other hand actually is a choice and actively works to the detriment of the world. For that reasons a lot of Atheists, myself included, can get a bit sour at someone simply because their religious. Is it wrong? Maybe, but it's certainly justified when you look at the atrocities committed in the name of the worlds gods.
Faith, n. Belief without evidence in what is told by one who speaks without knowledge, of things without parallel.
Religion, n. A daughter of hope and fear, explaining to ignorance the nature of the unknowable.
Philosophy, n. A route of many roads leading from nowhere to nothing.

I actually wouldn't challenge a word of what you just said, at no point did you imply that stupidity was an offshoot. It is not wrong, a lot of misery has been brought into this world in the name of god or gods. Sour I get, I don't get making assumptions about intelligence. Frankly it feels like that isn't really what people here mean, it sounds more like they mean discernment. In any event it was the implications about intelligence I was referring to.
