Default I took a leap and became a fan of the Indiana Athiest Bus Campaign on FB

I am the type that just doesn't discuss religion with most people. I just hate arguing with people and chancing them deciding to try to sell me on the whole religion thing. IMO they are worse than Insurance salesmen (I am one of those ). So, it was a leap for me to do something as simple as becoming a fan of the bus campaign on fb since I have some very religion people on there.

Here is one reaction: "How did people get the idea that being a follower of Christ is about goodness? Who perpetrates this myth? We need to hunt these people down and make them stop. Every day I am more convinced that "I must decrease, the He might increase" and that "apart from Him I can do nothing." To paraphrase Mae West: Goodness has nothin' to do with it, dearie!"

Sigh, I am glad that she is something that I won't miss to much if I have to delete her.

Thankfully it's easy to loose respect for people who feel the need to subject you to living in their ideals! Good for you though, being an atheist is kind of like being gay for some people. Sometimes you get very similar reactions! (I would know...I'm both! Haha)

Still, it's important to let people know who you are, even if it means loosing some friends. After all, were they really your friends in the first place if they're going to abandon you over something like this? You should be just as inclined to be outspoken about your beliefs as they are! What's amazing about people is that they often feel much more comfortable doing things when other people are doing them, so if we can bring more atheists like you out of the closet, maybe the movement will become much stronger! Anyway, I never officially welcomed you so...welcome! Glad to have you here. Sorry about your lame friend.

Thanks for the welcome! I really do want to let people know that I don't believe. It doesn't usually come up in my conversations. If anyone asks me to pray for them. I will tell them that I am not the praying type, but they will be in my thoughts. I have thought about posting Atheist and proud in my fb status. Not quite ready for that yet.
